Stuttering – Field Study

The Causes of Stuttering

If you stutter, we would like to invite you to participate in this study.

Stuttering is highly treatable at any age. According to Wikipedia, as of March 1, 2023, the cause has not yet been proven: "The cause (medically: etiology) of stuttering is unclear. There are a variety of theories that attempt to explain the causes or the development of stuttering. At this time, there is insufficient evidence to support any of these theories.” https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stottern#Ursache

Our hypothesis: The causes of stuttering remain unknown. This also means that psychological causes cannot be ruled out entirely. After 12 years of research focused on systematically resolving unconscious factors, we believe that the cause of stuttering—at least for certain types—lies in the subconscious.

But we don't want to stop at theory; instead, we'd like to offer you something to test here. After all, no one can really know what the underlying causes are in your case. We'll show you in a moment how you can find this out quickly and efficiently right here on this page,

Psychological Causes

There is hardly anything in a person that has such a powerful impact as the subconscious. One of the main effects of repressed, unconscious aspects is the formation of mental blocks. Since these are present in every area of life, it stands to reason that mental blocks can also disrupt the flow of speech.

Test for psychological causes

We developed a way to quickly and effectively determine whether certain psychological causes of stuttering are present. We’ve turned this into a digital test; you’ll find it further down on this page. Additionally, there is an (anonymous) survey below the test where the test results are entered and published immediately. We hope to have enough participants to ensure a representative result.

Thank you very much!

So, how do we get started?

Start by clicking the blue circle at the bottom right of this page. The system will then check whether you have the psychological causes of stuttering. This takes just a few minutes.

If you've found what you were looking for, the causes lie within you on a psychological level. That's very good news to start with, because if the problems are psychological in nature, they can be changed or treated.
