Therapy for Fear of Loss
First step
Before we begin the resolution process in our therapy, we determine whether you actually have these specific fears and cognitive patterns. If there are no underlying causes, we won’t address them.
Course of Treatment
You can lie down comfortably at home. Now launch the app, and our digital therapist will guide you through the process. The various processes are worked through step by step. Even though the focus is on resolving the root causes, we always stay in the here and now during the course and do not revisit the past! Furthermore, you will not be confronted with fears! So there is no need to be afraid of the treatment.
If the underlying causes are thoroughly addressed, the symptoms will disappear as well.
Therapeutic tools
The Core Therapy for Fear of Loss is offered as a self-help course. Through this course, we provide you with the tools you need to overcome your fear of loss. You’ll complete the course on your own, though we’ll be available to offer support and guidance for two weeks. For the course itself, all you need is our “Angst Auflösen” app, which makes the course easy to follow and allows you to complete it comfortably at home.
Overcoming the Fear of Loss
A wide range of options for various fears and emotions
To simplify the therapy, we have already taken care of identifying and breaking down the root causes. It was important to us to cover not only the classic fears and cognitive patterns, but a truly broad spectrum. Thus, we address not only the various fears of loss (fear of loss, fear of losing something, fear of scarcity, etc.), but also the related issues.

Where does the fear of loss come from?
If you are deeply troubled by the fear of loss, the current loss itself cannot be considered the sole cause. Often, this intense fear stems from a deeper underlying cause—a loss you experienced in the past. The loss you are currently experiencing merely activates (triggers) this fear of loss that already exists within you. That is why it is so intensely felt. Deep and powerful fears are always a sign that the causes lie within you, not in the external world. Start with Core Therapy for Fear of Loss to address these fears.
How can I overcome my fear of loss?
When we say “overcome,” we actually mean coping with the symptoms. Here, however, we want to properly and permanently treat/process the fear of loss—that is, address it at its root. If symptoms are merely suppressed, not only does the burden persist, but problems will resurface elsewhere. For a thorough treatment, we recommend Core Therapy.
Can the fear of loss be cured?
There are many effective methods for treating anxiety disorders. All anxiety can be cured; it’s just a matter of time—how long it takes to resolve the anxiety. With our course, “Fear of Loss,” you’ll be able to thoroughly resolve your fear of loss.

Information on fear of loss
Definition
Definition of fear of loss
Fear of loss is a very general fear that can apply to many situations and processes. As a result, it can also be very distressing. In psychology, a distinction is made between normal, healthy fears and pathological fears (fears stemming from the past). The latter are harmful and occur without warning of a real danger. This is because these fears from the past became too intense in an overwhelming situation and had to be repressed into the subconscious. If, in this example, the fear of loss has been repressed, then any life event that has even the remotest connection to loss can trigger (activate) precisely this fear of loss. This is usually accompanied by an immense outburst of anger and hatred. In the case of such an intense event, which is emotionally disproportionate to the reaction, you should always realize that the cause lies WITHIN YOU and not in or with the other person! The other person merely *activates* (triggers) this wound that already exists within you. Deep and intense fears and pain are always a sign that the causes lie within you, NOT in the external world (the other person).
If the fear is disproportionately intense or deep-seated, it stems from your own unresolved, repressed fears or thoughts. Once these are triggered, they can be incredibly powerful. That is the very latest point at which you should take active steps to address them.
Symptoms
Symptoms of fear of loss
A triggered fear of loss can be so intense that you literally can’t function anymore, and it can cause a depth of pain and suffering that is almost unimaginable.
Causes
Causes of fear of loss
Repression is pathogenic, meaning it causes illness. That is why the psyche strives for healing and pushes what has been repressed back toward you, so that you can accept it again. But if we constantly push them down, the pressure eventually becomes too strong, and we end up in a situation that triggers exactly this pressure cooker. And then intense pain erupts. Even external wounds (e.g., on the skin) become painful if they are not treated. And the longer you wait to address them, the more painful they become. And it’s exactly the same with these inner wounds. That’s why you should work through them promptly as well. The stronger the fear, the more urgent the need to process it.
But since we are unaware of these repressions, we carry them around with us our whole lives without realizing it, constantly trying to compensate for them. We usually do this until it’s no longer possible, until the pressure builds up so much that the lid blows off and the pain is so intense that we can no longer tinker with the symptoms, distract ourselves, or escape.
Addressing the root causes rather than treating the symptoms
When fear becomes too overwhelming and the pressure too great, sooner or later you have to confront the root causes. And that’s exactly what we do here. We address the root causes and resolve them. It’s simple, thorough, and doesn’t involve delving into your personal history.
The new approach
Our new approach involves thoroughly and systematically addressing the deep psychological and cognitive causes. Because we work systematically (which is a novelty) and our therapy is wide-ranging, we address not only the fear of loss itself and all associated fears, but also systematically the unresolved aspects (emotions and cognitions) of the themes of separation, loss, rejection, rejection, being abandoned, etc.—in other words, the issues that lie BEHIND the separation or loss.
And: The more repressed emotions you release, the calmer, freer, and more relaxed you’ll become. You’ll also feel better and more at ease physically, because repressed emotions can affect even the deepest layers of your muscles.
But the more you turn away from it, and the longer you leave these wounds unresolved within yourself, the more the burden of fear weighs on you. Moreover, new situations will keep arising in which this very fear is triggered or activated. In technical terms, this is called “reenactment.”
We’ll provide you with everything you need to fully resolve the issue; it’s just a matter of how much time you’re willing to invest.
